Martyn's Law is the popular name for the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 [add hyperlink 1], which received Royal Assent on 3rd April 2025. It's named after Martyn Hett, one of 22 people killed in the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing

It represents rather a milestone in the protection of vulnerable children and comes out of a high-profile case; Benedict Blythe was a five-year-old boy who died from anaphylaxis at school in 2021.
