Maritime Training
Marine health and safety is a specialist field on its own and, that’s why we have left to the experts! However, we have teamed up with Fire Aid International (Global Maritime Training) at their Fire Aid Academy based in Hythe, Southampton. The Academy was developed in order to deliver shore based high quality STCW (‘Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) training to Seafarer’s approved by the MCA and Marshall Islands flag.
The facilities deliver a wide range of STCW approved courses, along with bespoke training which includes industrial advanced Fire Fighting. “We believe the key to our continued success is our extensive knowledge of the Maritime Industry enabling us to understand the needs of all our clients, whether that be a large shipping organisation or a young person wishing to begin a career at sea.”
We offer the full range of mandatory STCW medical training courses, as well as additional auxiliary courses for continued professional development.
Our pre-hospital emergency medicine skills have helped develop Fire Aid’s first aid and medical aid courses. These courses, approved by the UK’s Maritime Coastguard Agency and aligned with the Merchant Navy Training Board’s learning outcomes have been developed by our Paramedic’s and Healthcare Professionals to the latest clinical guidelines and clinical evidenced based practice. We have full approval from the MCA to offer all of the course modules and programmes required by new entrants to the maritime industries or those wishing to obtain an internationally recognised Certificate of Competency (CoC).
